Mary Katrantzou x Beyonce: for ‘Black is King’
Our team at MK, is incredibly proud to have 3 of our AW19 runway finale dresses featured in Beyonce's incredible new feature length film ‘Black is King’ for the song ‘Water’.
The Embroidery:
-Beyonce wears AW19 Look 37- featuring individually dip-dyed & hand applied ostrich feathers in over 40 hues
-Dense, textural sequin & bead embellishment
-Thousands of Swarovski hot fix crystals
The Dancers wear looks 34 & 35- Featuring delicate ostrich feather embellishment in stormy tones
Lightly applied sequin work in metallics & stormy hues
Intense & vivid, highly 3D ruffles
Mary Katrantzou x Beyonce: Global Citizen
This fully embellished show outfit on printed sequin was created by our team in record time, for Beyonce to wear during her performance at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 in Johannesberg, South Africa on Dec 2nd, 2018.
The Embroidery:
-Intricate Baroque style gold work
-3d floral sequin embellishment
-Thousands of Swarovski Crystals applied by hand in detailed paisley and floral designs.

Mary Katrantzou x Victoria’s Secret.
Shown at the final Victoria’s Secret show in September 2018, MK collaborated with the brand to create a capsule floral fantasy collection of brightly printed and richly embroidered styles.
The Embroidery:
-Irish machine embroidery and reverse applique over tulle dresses (developed with Jenny King)
-3D textured sequin embellishments
-Micro beading
-Fully crystallised lampshade skirts
-Hot fix crystal detailing using thousands of Swarovski crystals.

Superga x Mary Katrantzou.
Printed & embellished trainers were developed for a commercial collaboration between Superga & MK. This culminated in a collection of summer styles featuring repeat shell and floral prints such as the style below, which I contributed to.
